You can also visit theKamphuisen syrup waffle factory to see the process of stroopwafels being made, and of course, take some stroopwafels home.

Among the must-sees are the Bonnefanten Museum, which boasts one of the finest art collections in the Netherlands, the caves and quarries of underground Maastricht (one of the most popular visits), the Bosch Brewery, where you can take an English-language tour and sample the beer, and the Libris bookshop, set in a 13th century Dominican Abbey and voted one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world. A great place to visit a Christmas for the Xmas Market or at Carnival time in February.
